Camps to Kaaba: A Journey of
Hope and Faith
Earlier this year, the LIA Relief Trust team and volunteers travelled to Jordan to meet orphans and widows living in Palestinian refugee camps. From Jordan, our staff, volunteers and 250 orphans and widows embarked on a 36-hour journey to Madinah before continuing on to Makkah to perform Umrah.
These orphans and widows have suffered the loss of loved ones and endured immense hardship, yet their trust in Allah remains steadfast. Despite the challenges they face, their hearts were filled with hope as they prepared to stand before the Kaaba. What they experienced is beyond words. This was truly the journey of a lifetime.
By the will of Allah, we are preparing for our next Umrah trip this August. Once again, we aim to take 250 orphans and widows from the Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan on this blessed journey. Along the way, small gestures such as gifts and treats bring comfort, dignity and joy during what can be a long and demanding trip. These simple acts remind them that they are remembered, valued and not forgotten by the Ummah.
