Gift Aid

What is Gift Aid?

Donating through Gift Aid allows us and other charities to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you.

How does Gift Aid help us?

Gift Aid allows us to maintain our 100% Donation Policy, ensuring your donations are distributed fully to the beneficiaries. We use Gift Aid to cover our running and operational costs so that we don’t take any portion of your donation.

What do you need to do?

Unless you specify, we cannot claim Gift Aid. We need your declaration allowing us to claim Gift Aid. You can do this by ticking the Gift Aid box for online donations, ticking the box on our donation form or by contacting us via email to notify us that we can claim Gift Aid on your donations.

Are you eligible?

Your donations will qualify for Gift Aid so long as they are not more than 4 times what you have paid in tax in that tax year (6 April to 5 April). It is your duty to inform us if you no longer pay tax or are not paying enough. You also need to notify us if your personal details have changed so our records are kept up to date.

Example:

You donate £100 to us and allow us to claim Gift Aid on your donation. The government will contribute 25p for every £1 (25%) of your total donation amount. In this case, the government will contribute £25 at no extra cost to you meaning the total donation amount will be £125.00 after Gift Aid.

For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us either by phone or email and a member of our team will be more than happy to help.
