In the early hours of Monday 6th February, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck South East Turkey and North West Syria, approximately 12 hours later, a 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck resulting in the loss of thousands of lives of our brothers and sisters. The widespread destruction has left thousands injured and homeless. Rubble lies where homes once stood, the death toll is rising as bodies are found beneath it.

In Syria, the cities of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama and Idlib have been badly hit. Our Syrian brothers and sisters have been driven into wintery streets fearing further collapses of buildings. Dozens of buildings have been badly damaged across Aleppo, almost 50 have been reported to have collapsed.

Temperatures are expected to drop to zero degrees Celsius. Shelter, food, water, fuel and medical care for those who have been injured are desperately needed. Please donate generously.
