The LIA Relief Team have built 78 homes in Idlib so far and raised enough money to build a further 150 homes insha’Allah. The villagers are in dire need of a school, a masjid and a play area for the children. We need to raise £120,000 to fund this project. With your help, the noble people of this village can pray in congregation. A prayer performed in congregation was highly encouraged by the Prophet ﷺ. In fact, the reward is 27 times more than a prayer offered alone (Bukhari & Muslim).

Every child has the right to an education. In fact education is not only the right, but the duty of every Muslim, male or female.

Many Syrian children have only ever witnessed war. These grim circumstances have had a detrimental effect on their mental, physical and social health. The need for a play area is vital. Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children engage and interact in the world around them at a very early age.

We need to want for these children and their families what we want for our children and our families.
